Sea Urchin Pavilions - Design
The design of these pavillion ideas stemmed from the complex and naturally created patterns found in the Caribbean Sea Urchins. Forms found from the body and spines of these creatures were of intrigue to me to explore a three-dimensional design that could be extrapolated into pavilions for the use of shelter, art expression or an outdoor urban environment in itself. This type of iterative design process was explored through Grasshopper. Through the script these forms carved objects of space which helped to express the intent behind the subject and form.
