New American University - Design

This studio was developed to explore the largest trade corridors in the world; between Mexico, the United States and Canada. The exploration led to the investigation of humanitarian issues such as immigration and lack of education, which affect the wider cultures regardless of border and generation. This intervention in Dallas focused on the community and bringing a new urban form to erode the current grid. Focusing on the trade school, as a center to the project was specific to Dallas and the immigrant populations that are vital. The education component of the project, located within clusters on the bridge was an important part of a larger idea, to join two sides of the city, separated both socially and physically.
